Coffin Handle Lockback Folder The blade on this lockback folder is the super stainless steel by Crucible Metals CPM S30V. The hollow ground satin finished blade size is .100" X .750" X 3 5/8" with a closed length of 4 1/2" and a open length is 8 1/4" long. The top of the belt sheath has a pebble finish (similar to knife listed below) and is dyed in dark brown. The blade spine, lockbar, liners and rear spacer are hand file worked by me. The handles scales are stabilized maple burl that are dovetailed into the front 416 stainless steel bolsters. This jigged bone lockback folder has a Wharncliffe style blade of .100” X .770” X 2.950” CPM S-30V stainless steel. The steel is a super stainless steel from Crucible Metals. The overall length of the folder is 7.250". The blade has been heat treated with a triple temper and sub-zero quench to ~ Rc. 61. The blade, lock bar and rear spacer have my hand file work with a vine pattern. The bottom of the liners also have hand file work (similar to the Sheep horn folder below). This folder has 416 stainless steel front and rear bolsters. The liner is also stainless steel. The Jigged bone is dovetailed into the front bolsters and is a burnt Sienna color. This folder has a blade of .088” X .750” X 3” made from CPM S-30V stainless steel. This steel is a super stainless steel from Crucible Metals. The blade has been heat treated by myself and triple tempered with a sub-zero quench to ~ Rc. 61. The blade, lock bar and rear spacer have my hand file work with my vine pattern. The bottom of the liners also have file work. This folder has 416 stainless steel front and rear bolsters and 410 stainless steel liners. The front bolster is dovetailed to accept the handle scales of figured Myall wood from Australia. The silver wire inlay, .999% Au, is inlaid by me in a flower plant pattern. The belt sheath is hand sewn with a pebble finish for the top flap. It is dyed dark brown. $550.00 The "Coffin Folder" has been sold.
